Poems by Elliott Eli Jackson
In 2005 Elliott began to write poetry. He had never
written any before. Over 500 poems came in less
than 6 months. It was revealed later, when The All
began to speak through Elliott to Diane, that all of
the poems were indeed sent and inspired by Them.
The poems were in fact preparation for
From God
to You Absolute Truth.

The Unseen

This Cacophony
Some of Elliott's Favorites
A Note to Self

The magnet held it, to be exact,
one year and seven months. It never
moved, even if the door slammed.
Out the corner of his eye, with
each visit to the fridge, he
could see it.

He would discount it.
Nonetheless, it had power. Much!
The simple note would stir his soul.
The note would shoot to the
forefront an unsettling decision.
He contemplated removing it,
but never did. Why?

Because, it was a reminder
of what should be a top priority,
a most important matter. One that
shouldn't be on the back burner,
vaulted to the recesses of his
mind.

It stated, just call her!

A New Story

This is a New Story.
It's about love, peace, joy.

You don't want to hear it!
Do you?

You want to hear about fear,
pain, and running around insane!

I'll tell you about a great plan.
To forgive and forget.
How to encourage and uplift,
to give others your gifts.

You don't want to hear it!
Do you?

You want stories of killing and rape.
Shoot them up, toss them out,
that kind of plot. Stories of being
rough, T.V. stuff!

Well, I got a New Story.

A Gentle Soul

I've come to know a gentle soul.
One who listens to me,
my ramblings and passions.
Even puts up with my manic
reactions.

I've come to know a gentle soul.
One who is not boisterous.
One who will not scold.

I've come to know a gentle soul.
One in tune with the universe.
One who does not curse.

I've come to know a gentle soul.
One who comforts me, who if need
be, will let me be.

This gentle spirit is my friend,
my confidant.

And I will love her till the end.

At a Glance

At first glance, I was in a trance!
How could this be? Me!
However, I must confess,
one look at her chin made me grin.
Put my heart to the test.
I would be at my best.

Her nose was chiseled and
sharpened. It made me want her
more, to walk her to the door.

But alas, she must be out of my
class. She must drink from a
stemmed glass. So, my intellect
informed me to pass.

But, another look was all it took!
The glamor of her eyes picked up
my stride.
I took a deep breath and a long step.
I would ask her for a date,
she would tell me don't be late,
become my mate.

Then, in walked her date!

Befriended

Friends.
Many have I from childhood,
from along the way. From
escapades of far away places and
yesterday.
But there is only one like you!
True Blue.

You who have sacrificed.
You who are most trustworthy.
You who tells me the truth,
without being mute.
You bring up my faults and failures
in such a way, I must say, that
places me on alert, to search and
seek. To find peace in my past
mistakes and misjudgments.
You know me and I you!

When life was dark, my spirit weak,
when I was in need the most,
'twas you who became my soul's
host.

Blue
Love is All There Is

On a day like today,
I feel blue. Don't know why,
I cried. There was nothing wrong.
I have no sad song.
I worked, played, prayed.
I washed, cooked, cleaned.
I listened to music.
I wrote in my journal.

That's it!
I looked at my feelings, my meaning,
my life, my strife.
The things I've done, or didn't do.
Yes!
I remember, I didn't say, I Love
You.
That's the reason, I am Blue.
Love is the answer for me
and you.

Coming Home

I wonder who will be there?
I wonder what they will say?
It's been a long time, but
I'm coming home!

Left a long time ago, walked out
that door. Was going to see
the world, but didn't get far.
Never even bought a car.
Never went to school.
I've been a fool.
But, I'm coming home now!

They will all be waiting.
Sis, Billy, and Mae.
I know it will be a great day.
I won't know what to say.
Cause, they and I know, should
have stayed, but thought I
needed to find my own way.
Only all I did, was delay
Coming Home!

Columbian Spirit

Like the Andes, elevated is your
sense of God and nature.
Your connection to the souls
of the lost, sensitive, to say the
least.

Columbian girl, to find
what you seek, go within.
This way you will not go without.
Use the spirits of the ancestors
to bring your spirit into full
connection with the universal
chant Aaah-moo-Chee-Chee-Aa...ah.
This will lead you from captivity.
This will set you free.
This will open up the quantum
circle.
This is your way to Nadir.
Draw on your inner being to release
the chains that bind your soul.

Constrictions

Sea to shore, flower to sun!
Bird to sky, river to lake.
Drawn together, without choice!
A certain natural bonding,
no chance involved!
Connecting, blending as one!
Alas, Me to you!
As grass to earth. Growing from,
conforming! Things unstoppable.
No borders, no boundaries,
no containment possible!
Dare say I, even feasible!
Nothing! Nothing! Will, can, keep us
apart!
As rain comes to wind! Music to
ears. These forces cannot be
restricted!
Ever moving towards,
joining, interlocking.
A most natural procession.
So too, our love!

Complicated

Too hard.
Can't do it.
Don't even want to try.
Too much work.
I would have to give 100%.
Can't do it.

Won't do it.
Would have to look into it.
Read, study.
No way.
No time.
Must sleep.
Too much effort.
You do it.

NO WAY!
NO HOW!
THINK NOT!

Disinterested

He had been that way so long.
No regard for anything or anyone.
Cared nothing for the environment.
No concern for laws, his weight.
Would wear anything out in public.
Would not read the paper or any
form of print.
Didn't watch television.
Didn't like kids.
He was one miserable SOB.
Funny thing about all of this, he
used to be me!

Not anymore!
Now I'm concerned.
I desire to learn - about you, about
the world.
Tell me of distant places.
Inform me of recipes.
Discuss with me the meaning of life.
The importance of Mathematical
Geochemistry.
Play Bach to me as we taste cheese.

Cause, being disinterested was
boring!

Don't Worry, Don't Fret

The kid told me he wanted to die.
Said he had nothing to live for.
Said he was better off dead.

That is when I said,
"Don't you worry, don't you fret.
Your God is not done with you yet."

You have much to live for, much to
give. Times are coming when you
will be ahead. It might seem hard
now, it might look dark, yet in the
morning comes the sound of the
lark. This bird will sing for you. She
will give you the seed on which to
feed. So, my young friend, please
take heed.

"Don't you worry, don't you
fret.Your God is not done with you
yet!"

This Cacophony

Uncouth we appear to be. This cacophony.
Unrelated, a compilation of different
colors, ideas and styles.
To the naked eye, voices mixed in a clamor:
loud, disillusioned and confused.
Yet, in truth, against all odds,
this cacophony semi-united.
Disagreeable we appear to be,
unable to relate, yet still we procreate.
Since the beginning of time,
since we became entwined,
through tribal aggression envious
backbiting infighting.
We appear to lack refinement and
cohesiveness.
This cacophony.
Look deeper and you will see
the beauty, the lack of fuss,
the underlying trust,
the ability to hold it together
in inclement weather. This cacophony.
Ever since, we learned to dine or to keep
time.
Once we learned to sit in some semblance
of peace,
this cacophony has learned to teach,
to impart our thoughts through words and
deeds.
This cacophony has become brothers.
We have fought. We have torn apart at
times
our brother’s heart. Yet in the mix of the
mire,
within the essence of our beings, we stand
side by side. This cacophony.
Think you that we cannot get along.
Yet, this cacophony has climbed mountains,
built bridges. This rabble has come
together,
aided enemies during catastrophic
manifestations,
in the face of natural disasters, foes forgot
their woes.
This cacophony has passed on secrets to
each other,
vowed never to be told.
This cacophony has bred with each other’s
daughters
and forged new nations from nothing.
This cacophony, right from the start,
has never really been apart.
Black, White, Red, Yellow.
Every color of the tribe has stayed alive.
This cacophony throughout time,
during wars, famines, tidal waves,
earthquakes,
fires and floods, in gains and major pains,
still stands together. This Cacophony, Us.
